Who We Are

The Business

Shane and Heather Lauzon acquired BC Aquifer after it went up for sale in 2016 however this isn't their first water company. They previously owned a water business in Alberta, a venture that lasted 8 years.

Given the Lauzon’s history with the previous water business, BC Aquifer seemed a natural fit after they made the move to Vancouver Island. They recognised the businesses potential and had a vision for its future. They were excited to grow their team and support the community, the island and surrounding gulf islands.

It was decided early on that the sole focus at BC Aquifer be water rather than diversify their services. They proudly provide expert technical support in diagnostics, recommendation and installation of water supply equipment and water treatment to clients in the residential, industrial/commercial and agricultural sectors.

Providing the best reliable service and support with honesty and integrity sets BC Aquifer apart from the rest.

We are certified with the Canadian Water Quality Association (CWQA), and all of our pump installers have a BC Industry Training Authority (ITA) issued Certificate of Qualification (CoQ).

We are proud to be a Pentair Pro Authorized Dealer and a Franklin Key Authorized Dealer. Both involve ongoing training to ensure we are providing the best quality products for each project.

The Family

Shane and Heather have been married for over 20 years sharing 4 beautiful daughters together. One daughter, now married, has expanded the family to include an amazing son in law and precious grandbabies.

The Lauzon family moved to Vancouver Island in 2009 to share the amazing island and all it has to offer with their family. As a family of outdoor enthusiasts, quadding, hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, horseback riding & boating are all activities they are able to regularly enjoy together.

Shane and Heather also have a small farm where they produce local hay used to feed their horses and is sold to others.  They once raised and sold farm raised chickens and hope to have time to do so again.
